Our small team of healthcare executives and Internet startup entrepreneurs operates from offices in San Francisco and Nashville.

Position Summary

Business Operations sits at the center of our business. We are looking for an entrepreneurial business operations expert who can proactively make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency across Sales, Marketing, Account Management, and Implementation. S/he will report to the Vice President of Operations, and play a critical role in financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, and opportunity sizing. You proactively identify ways to make our current operations more efficient and thrive in a fluid, start-up environment.

Business Operations works cross-functionally across all functional units of the business (Sales, Account Management, Implementation, Marketing, Product Management, Development, Customer Support, and Accounting). S/he will have the opportunity to play with a number of analytical tools and leverage technology to develop a scalable operational playbook across all business units, which will significantly impact our business.


  • Own the P&L forecast, with direct oversight from the CEO and Vice President of Operations
  • Develop a standardized internal reporting process across Sales, Account Management, Implementation, and Marketing
  • Leverage data to proactively identify improvements in the current operational structure
  • Work closely with the CEO and Vice President of Operations to ensure functional departments are appropriately motivated and incentivized
  • Work closely with the CEO and Vice President of Operations to generate materials for the Board and potential investors (e.g., create Board presentations, field due diligence requests, etc.)
  • Develop operational KPIs and goals and leverage existing tools (e.g., Salesforce) to measure against established KPIs and improve operational efficiency
  • Utilize knowledge and expertise in prior organizations to identify operational improvements


  • 2-5 years of work experience in management consulting, business operations, or a related field
  • Hyper-analytical and passionate about testing, data, and metrics; expertise with Excel (financial modeling and market sizing), Salesforce, etc. is a must
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up environment
  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs to continually improve performance
  • Strong business intuition and ability to understand complex business systems
  • The ability to clearly communicate complex results to business partners
  • A high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
  • A willingness to learn new technologies on the job
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Science, Economics, Business, or a related technical field
