Newman Memorial Hospital was originally established in 1920 by O.C. Newman, M.D, a young man from Ohio who had fulfilled his dream of becoming a “country doctor”.  Thus started a healthcare legacy steeped in community, compassion and quality that has been maintained for almost 100 years.  We have spent nearly a century providing high-quality and affordable health care to the people of Northwest Oklahoma, Southern Kansas and the Panhandle of Texas.

Newman Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital that prides itself on maintaining the highest standards of quality and providing care with compassion and respect.  In order to maintain these high standards, we are committed to keeping up with advancing technology, expanding our service lines to meet the needs of the community and providing affordable, reliable services to Shattuck and the surrounding communities right here at home.
