About Christopher C. Vasileff, MD

Dr. Christopher Vasileff is an orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine. He specializes in care for the shoulder as well as sports injuries affecting the ankle, elbow, hip, and knee. Dr. Vasileff began practicing at Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in 2024.

After finishing his bachelor’s degree in brain behavior and cognitive science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Vasileff received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids. Continuing his training, he underwent an orthopaedic surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak & Taylor in Royal Oak, Michigan. Then rounding off his training, he completed an orthopaedic shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine fellowship at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina.

When Dr. Vasileff is not seeing patients, he enjoys staying active by playing golf, and rugby, skiing, and weightlifting. He also enjoys history, traveling, spending time with his wife and kids, and watching his favorite football teams (Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions).
