About David Lee Carmack, DPM

David L. Carmack, DPM is a seasoned, board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon with over 20 years of experience treating a variety of foot and ankle conditions.

Dr. Carmack has always had a calling to help people, which drew him to explore different fields of medicine during his undergraduate studies. He became extremely interested in podiatry which led him to attend the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA where he graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2002. He continued his postgraduate education with a 3-year surgical residency at INOVA Fairfax Hospital for Children in Falls Church, VA. which also included specialized training in diabetic limb salvage and plastic surgery at the Georgetown University Hospital Limb Center in Washington, DC.

Dr. Carmack is a problem solver. Throughout his career, he has used his expertise in biomechanics and the insight he gains getting to know each patient as a whole person to better understand and treat their ailments.

Dr. Carmack is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He is affiliated with Ascension Seton Highland Lakes in Burnet, TX.
