In addition to general orthopedic care, Dr. Redfern has a particular interest in arthroscopic and open techniques for shoulder and knee disorders. Dr. Redfern was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. After working several years as an engineer, he decided to change careers and attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, followed by an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Redfern and his wife, Roma, have a daughter and a son and enjoy many outdoor activities such as snow skiing, hiking, and running.
