Dr. Kristina Gaunt is a Board-Certified General Surgeon with over 11 years of experience in the field. She completed her medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2012, followed by a residency in general surgery at Central Iowa Health Systems in Des Moines, IA in 2017. Dr. Gaunt began her career in private practice with Muskegon Surgical Associates in Muskegon, MI in 2017. While she is a native of central Illinois, her husband Jeff grew up in Cadillac, MI.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gaunt has been dedicated to advancing surgical practices and improving patient outcomes. She works as the co-director of the Trinity Health Muskegon Comprehensive Breast Center. She does specialize heavily in breast cancer care, but continues to practice a wide range of general surgery including endoscopy, colorectal surgery, trauma and abdominal surgery.
Dr. Gaunt is passionate about patient education and believes in a collaborative approach to healthcare. She takes the time to ensure her patients understand their conditions and treatment options, fostering a supportive environment for them throughout their surgical journey.
Outside of her professional commitments, she and her husband Jeff have 3 young boys that are active in sports.  She enjoys cooking, reading, travel and outdoor adventures.
