Markus Boesl, MD is a general surgeon at Intermountain Health’s surgical specialists at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He supports patients in Murray, Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, South Jordan, and surrounding communities with clinical interests in gastrointestinal and abdominal surgery including hernia repair, breast surgery, foregut surgery, acute care surgery, robotic surgery, medical and surgical education, and medical humanities. He enjoys the breadth of general surgery, particularly using advanced, minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Boesl understands that surgery can be stressful for patients and families. His team aims to provide an experience that uses state-of-the-art technology to provide compassionate care that supports each patient’s values. Outside the clinic, the Oregon native enjoys spending his free time skiing, hiking, playing tennis and pickleball, reading, and playing piano. He and his wife love traveling and exploring all the natural beauty Utah has to offer.
