About Stand-Up MRI of Islandia
This MRI facility was established in the Islandia Shopping Center in December, 1993. The facility was originally equipped with the FONAR QUAD 12000 MRI Scanner, manufactured by FONAR Corporation in Melville, New York. It was replaced by the Stand-Up® MRI, also a product of FONAR, in January 2002.
In October of 2020, Stand-Up MRI of Islandia moved into a larger space in the same shopping center, allowing it to house two MRI scanners, the Stand-Up® MRI and the 3.0T Siemens MAGNETOM® Verio.
All of our reading radiologists are board-certified.
