About Steven Wanek, MD

Dr. Steven A. Wanek is a dedicated and board-certified General Surgeon with more than 15 years of experience. Dr. Wanek earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences (previously the Medical College of Ohio) before completing his residency in general surgery at the Summa Health System in the Akron City Hospital. Serving as Chief Resident during this time, he gained comprehensive surgical training in various specialties including urology, orthopedics, vascular, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and trauma care.
