Dr. Schoenfeldt is an orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity surgery. His practice encompasses all aspects of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery, with a special interest in endoscopic carpal tunnel release, hand and wrist arthritis, fracture care, and tendon transfers.
Dr. Schoenfeldt completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the prestigious Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, where he had the privilege of learning from internationally-renowned experts in complex hand and upper extremity conditions.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine, where he was recognized with honors awarded to the top 4% of medical students.
While earning his bachelor's degree in chemistry, Dr. Schoenfeldt was captain of his Division I volleyball team. His experience as an athlete instilled the importance of having an excellent team on his side. In his practice, Dr. Schoenfeldt believes having an outstanding team of office staff, therapists, surgical assistants and anesthesiologists is essential to achieving the best possible outcome for each patient.
