About Timothy D. Langford, MD

Dr. Timothy Langford is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology.  Dr. Langford is a lifelong Arkansas resident and UAMS graduate with nearly three decades of experience in Urology.  He is a highly regarded urologic surgeon and leader in the field who brings superb experience and clinical leadership to the organization.  He comes to UAMS after a 28 year career at Arkansas Urology where he served as president since 2011.  Dr. Langford treats a wide variety of Urologic diseases including BPH, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, and erectile dysfunction to name a few.
Clinical Focus
Dr. Langford’s clinical focus includes BPH, stone disease, prostate and bladder cancer, ED, urinary tract infections, and obstructive conditions.  Dr. Langford also uses surgical interventions for specific diagnoses including DaVinci Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Langford is a Searcy native who received his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.  He is a graduate of the UAMS College of Medicine where he then stayed for his General Surgery Internship and Residency training in General Surgery followed by his Urology Residency.  He served as Chief Resident in Urology before joining Arkansas Urology in 1993.  Dr. Langford is certified by the American Board of Urology and is active in national and regional professional organizations including the American Urological Association, for which he has held leadership roles, the American Association of Clinical Urologists and the Arkansas Urological Society, for which he served as President in 2002.
