Lutheran’s areas of specialized care include northern Indiana’s only heart and kidney transplant programs, an accredited bariatric surgery program, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center. Recently, Lutheran Hospital also opened a first-of-its-kind emergency department in eastern Fort Wayne that strives to deliver quick, convenient access to 24/7 care at a freestanding location.
