Dr. Andrew Putman has been practicing orthopedic surgery in the Grand Strand community since 2013. After graduating from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in Spanish, Dr. Putman went on to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, to earn his medical doctorate.
Following his medical studies, Dr. Putman later completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at WellStar Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He then underwent additional specialty training in hand surgery through a fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Putman and his wife, Joy, currently live on Pawleys Island. Most of his free time is spent keeping up with their three children, but he also enjoys traveling, golf, and outdoor activities.
Dr. Putman is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and also has subspecialty certification in orthopedic hand surgery. He is available to see elbow, hand, shoulder, and wrist patients at our Murrells Inlet office.
