Procedure Details
This includes a back surgery (lumbar laminectomy/discectomy). Lumbar laminectomy is the removal of lamina. A discectomy is the removal of a herniated disc. Please note that if imaging is performed during the surgery, you may recieve a bill from the radiologist.

Dr. Armen Khachatryan "Dr K" is an established world leader in cervical arthroplasty and is among the first to implant artificial discs in Utah, both in the lumbar and cervical spine. He has devoted his entire career to spinal motion preservation technology, specifically to artificial disc replacements.
Dr. Khachatryan has performed more cervical disc replacement surgeries since 2016 than any other surgeon in the United States. Dr. Khachatryan has an extensive 22-year spine surgical career in minimally invasive surgery, motion preservation technology, artificial disc replacement, and non-fusion technologies for treatment of cervical and lumbar spinal disease. He trained thousands of surgeons in advanced spine surgery solutions and cervical arthroplasty as an international lecturer. He strongly advocates for preserving motion with disc replacement surgery instead of traditional fusion surgery.
Dr. Khachatryan serves as clinical investigator in a number of FDA clinical trials, including a pivotal FDA trial for Mobi-C, Simplify-C, Prodisc-C, Baguera-C and Synergy Cervical Disc replacement implants systems. With his pioneering approach and extensive experience in utilizing artificial disc replacement techniques, he has become a sought-after surgeon drawing patients from across the globe to Park City, Utah.
