B. Ashwini Kumar, MD, is an advocate for caring for patients through relationships built on shared decision-making in order to get patients back to doing what they love. He offers a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical solutions to orthopedic and sports related conditions. He offers fracture care, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, joint replacement surgery for hip, knee and shoulder as well as state-of-the-art procedures, such as robotic partial knee replacement and endoscopic carpal tunnel release.
Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Kumar earned his medical degree at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India and completed his residency at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He completed fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Buffalo in New York, during which time he had the opportunity to serve as team physician for the Buffalo Bills. When not caring for patients, he enjoys distance running, traveling and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
