Procedure Details
This includes a sigmoidoscopy or proctosigmoidoscopy with or without specimen removal by brushing or biopsy. This is a procedure that allows physicians to look at the end of the large intestine (sigmoid colon and rectum).

Dr. Brett Inglis joined Nashville EndoSurgery Center in 2012. He is an internal medicine physician and board certified gastroenterologist, will see patients at Nashville Medical Group located at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital. Brett Inglis is an internal medicine physician and board certified gastroenterologist. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association.
Dr. Inglis has a precancerous polyp or adenomatous detection rate (ADR) of 43 percent on quality assessments. Current national guidelines set the benchmark ADR at 15 percent in women and 25 percent in men.
