This includes a flexible or rigid, transoral esophagoscopy with or without specimens collection by biopsy or brushing. This procedure allows physicians to examine the digestive tract in a patient with a possible digestive disorder or disease.

  • Physician fee

    physician supervision & treatment in hospital. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.

  • Anesthesiologist fee

    regional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure

  • Pathology fee

    DOES NOT INCLUDE A PATHOLOGY FEE. The patient may receive a bill for this portion.

    Covers the cost of contracting upfront rates with all involved medical providers, processing payment, and distributing funds, minimizing administrative overhead and allowing for a lower total price

LoneStar Bariatrics was founded to fight obesity. We believe bariatric surgery can be a useful tool to provide long-term success. Our objectives include creating a positive environment where we educate patients, discuss a plan, and provide excellent patient care.

Awards and Publications

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Carlton completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh provided him with a strong foundation in general surgery, which he later augmented with advanced training in bariatric, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical techniques. He further honed his expertise during an advanced fellowship under Dr. Erik Wilson, a world-renowned leader in robotic surgery, at the Bariatric Medical Institute of Texas in San Antonio and Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston. Dr. Carlton’s dedication to innovation and precision has led him to mentor other surgeons, proctoring them in the latest surgical advancements.
