This includes a loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), which uses a thin, low-voltage electrified wire loop to cut out abnormal cervical tissue. This procedure is performed in the physician's office and not in a hospital.

About Dana Kelley, MD, MPH
Dana Kelley, M.D., MPH, completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Finishing her MPH during medical school solidified her passion for women’s health and policy as well as access and barriers to care. She is especially interested in minimally invasive surgery and infertility. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and past member of the American Medical Women’s Association. She served on the Graduate Medical Education Committee for New Hanover Regional Medical Center, developing support systems and improving medical education for trainees.
