About Edward Field, M.D.
Dr. Edward Field is an orthopedic physician who earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and orthopedic residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he was Senior Fellow, in 1991. Dr. Field completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, CO, and Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Among his many accolades, Dr. Field is the recipient of the Ole Miss Sports Medicine Award, the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association Sports Medicine Person of the Year, and the Mississippi Valley State University Commitment of Excellence Award. Dr. Field currently serves as team physician for myriad Mississippi high school, community college, and university athletic departments.
