Dr. Kamalov earned his medical degree and completed a residency in cardiovascular diseases, from Yerevan Medical State University in Yerevan, Armenia. He also completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn.
Dr. Kamalov received additional training through three fellowships including research and clinical fellowships in cardiovascular disease from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn. and a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kamalov is an interventional cardiologist. He has advanced training in cardiovascular disease using multiple, non-surgical procedures to manage heart disease, valve disease and congenital heart abnormalities. He performs heart catheterizations, stenting, EKGs, balloon angioplasty, pacemakers and defibrillators.
