Procedure Details
This includes a total abdominal hysterectomy. This is a surgical procedure that removes the uterus through the abdomen. The physician may also elect to remove one or both of the ovaries and one or both of the fallopian tubes. Please note that imaging performed before or after the surgery is not included in this surgical bundle.

Your purchase includes the following services:
- Facility feeoperating and recovery room services & supplies for a normal inpatient stay (average 1 to 2 days) which will be determined by your physician at CHI Health Midlands
- Physician feetreatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.
- Anesthesiologist feeregional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
- Pathology feespecimen(s) examination and tests for diagnosis. This test does not include the pathologic workup of malignancy. If malignancy is discovered during your procedure, additional charges will be incurred.
- Hospitalist feeservices provided by a hospitalist, a doctor who is responsible for coordinating medical care for hospitalized patients if your physician becomes unavailable
