Dr. Stepanyan’s educational journey began in Yerevan, Armenia, and led him to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated with honors.
He earned his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at UC Irvine Health, where he served as chief resident. His dedication to advanced surgical techniques and patient care continued through a sports medicine fellowship at Congress Orthopaedic Associates in Pasadena, specializing in sports surgery and shoulder replacement. He then completed an adult reconstruction fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on hip and knee replacement and revision surgeries.
Renowned for his commitment to patient care, Dr. Stepanyan actively shares his knowledge by teaching residents and medical students, and his research has been published in esteemed medical journals. Fluent in Armenian and Russian, Dr. Stepanyan is a valuable addition to the LAOSS team, enhancing patient care with his diverse background and specialized expertise.
