Esophageal Dilation

Howard Monsour, M.D., specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology. He is the former chief of the section of hepatology and associate professor of clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and the Institute for Academic Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital. He recently relocated to Granbury. During his academic and clinical career, he has had a particular focus in treating patients with chronic hepatitis C. Dr. Monsour has been an investigator in a wide range of clinical trials for investigational medicines to treat hepatitis C, hepatitis B, hepatocellular carcinoma and other liver diseases. He was the former director of the Kidney Hepatitis C Clinic and co-director of the Methodist Liver Cancer Program. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and the European Association for the Study of Liver Disease. Dr. Monsour received a B.A. from St. Vincent College and M.D. from University of Autonoma de Guadalajara. He received his postgraduate training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is board certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology.
