Jared Speakman has been a surgeon with Utah Surgical Associates (previously named Southwest Surgical Associates) since 2002. During that time he has served as the Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery Division at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Speakman is well diversified in the procedures performed by our general surgeons. Since 2002, he’s performed well over 300 surgeries each year. Dr. Speakman has established great relationships with many physicians in the area and is routinely chosen to consult a patient for his/her surgical options. He works hard to choose the path that gives his patients the best opportunity for a full recovery as well as allow that patient to manage his/her lifestyle.

Dr. Speakman attended the University of Utah Medical School and graduated in 1997. Following medical school, he completed his residency at the University of Utah and Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City, Utah. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in 2003 and has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2004.
Dr. Speakman enjoys keeping an active lifestyle with biking, softball, and other sports. He and his wife Kim have four children.
