James Tabibian, MD, PhD joins Adventist Health with an extensive professional repertoire. Prior to joining, he was a clinical professor in the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and director of endoscopy at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Tabibian attended UC Davis as an undergraduate and obtained his medical degree at UCLA with Alpha Omega Alpha honors.
He completed an internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins and gastroenterology fellowship at Mayo Clinic. While a gastroenterology fellow, he obtained his PhD through Mayo Graduate School’s Center for Clinical and Translational Science. Following his training at Mayo Clinic, he completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Tabibian’s focus is on delivering high-quality endoscopic procedures, from screening colonoscopy to advanced procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and luminal stenting.
