Dr. Jamey Cost is a member of the medical staff at Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Valley Medical Center and Viewmont Surgery Center. She has been an active member of several committees at the area hospitals since moving to Hickory in 2010. She is currently Chief of Staff at CVMC and has recently served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Viewmont Surgery Center.
A native of West Virginia, Dr. Cost attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she received a degree in biology. Her medical degree is from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, and she completed her ear, nose and throat residency training at the Department of Otolaryngology at West Virginia University.
Dr. Cost is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and serves on the Allergy Clinical Committee within Carolina ENT. She is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Cost is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Thyroid Association.
Dr. Cost’s clinical interests include adult and pediatric general otolaryngology, surgical management of thyroid and parotid diseases, endoscopic sinus surgery, ear surgery and management of patients with allergies and asthma.
