After earning an electrical engineering degree
with a bioengineering emphasis from Kansas State
University, Dr. McConeghey completed both his
doctorate of medicine and his general surgery
residency at the University of Kansas School of
Medicine. He is board-certified in general surgery
and licensed with the Kansas State Board of Healing
and Medical Arts. “When I was a child, I had cancer,” said Dr.
McConeghey. “My experiences with the medical
field at an early age sparked my interest in becoming
a doctor. Being able to diagnose a problem for a
patient, treat that problem with surgery and then
have the patient feel better — that’s the most
rewarding aspect of what I do.”
Dr. McConeghey treats a broad spectrum of diseases
that may require surgical treatment.
