Procedure Details
This includes a hernia repair for the following types epigastric, incisional, ventral, umbilical, spigelian, inguinal or femoral. A hernia is when an organ or tissue pushes through an abnormal opening. This includes the insertion of mesh. - Facility feeoperating and recovery room services & supplies for outpatient stay (less than 24 hours) at Mercy Health West Hospital
- Physician feetreatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery for all hernia repair types except abdominal hernias. Abdominal hernia repairs do not have a covered postoperative period. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.
- Anesthesiologist feeregional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
- Pathology feespecimen(s) examination and tests for diagnosis. This test does not include the pathologic workup of malignancy. If malignancy is discovered during your procedure, additional charges will be incurred.

Raised on the Westside of Cincinnati, I graduated from UC School of Medicine and stayed to complete my surgical training. I joined Mercy Health in 2014 and started taking care of patients at Mercy West. With a focus in minimally invasive surgery, I strive to deliver excellent care while allowing patients to get to back to normal quickly after surgery. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three sons, hiking, playing golf, and watching the Reds.
