Dr. Kent Childs is an obstetrician-gynecologist at Bradley Women’s Health Professionals in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he is honored to care for women in Cleveland and the surrounding area. For more than 30 years, he has been committed to providing advanced, compassionate care in obstetrics and gynecology, helping women maintain and improve their health at every stage of life.
Dr. Childs earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Austin Peay State University before attending the James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Knoxville.
He began his medical career in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1996, later practicing in Chattanooga for over 20 years before returning to Cleveland to continue serving patients in the community he knows well. As a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Childs emphasizes patient‑centered care, taking time to listen, educate, and partner with each patient in her healthcare journey.
Born in Vallejo, California, and raised in Daleville, Alabama, Dr. Childs later moved to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, during junior high school. A former high school and college football player, he met his wife, Jill, in high school—beginning a partnership that has lasted more than 34 years. Together, they have two children, Cotter and Cassie. Outside of medicine, Dr. Childs enjoys spending time with his family and staying active in the community.
