Lance was born and raised in College Station, Texas. He attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, where he graduated with a bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. While at Tarleton, he played on the baseball team, was a member of the Bass Fishing Club, and started a volunteer program called “Fishing with Fosters.”
Lance attended medical school at Texas A&M University and completed the Family Medicine Residency program in Conroe, Texas. In residency, he focused on a rural track that included an emphasis in Obstetrics. During his third year of residency he served as chief resident and received an award for "Excellence in Obstetrics." Lance has always had a passion for small town medicine and values the continuity of care that comes with a rural hospital like Goodall-Witcher.
Personally, Lance enjoys nothing more than being outdoors. On his days, off you’ll likely find him on the lake, spending time with his family at the coast, or cheering on The Fightin’ Texas Aggies. He and his wife, Katelyn, are looking forward to calling central Texas home.
