Dr. Patton is from a small coal mining town in southern Illinois where she grew up with her twin sister who is also in medicine. Her twin sister currently works as a registered nurse. Dr. Patton has a German Shepherd named Boomer and ragdoll cat named Suki who have followed her through undergrad, medical school and residency. Outside of work, she enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, spending her free time doing hot yoga, orange theory, Peloton work outs as well as gardening and hiking. She also enjoys horseback riding when she is visiting her family. Dr. Patton looks forward to bringing her skills and experience to Adams Health. She is happy to be returning to a rural community to provide care in a rural setting.
Dr. Patton’s philosophy on patient centered care is that she aims to address specific concerns of patients and to provide them with all of their options, so they can be informed and actively involved in their own healthcare via shared decision making. She strives to keep not only her patients specific health needs in mind, but also considers their desires and values when providing care for them.
