Dr. Leland Stoddard is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who was named a Physician of the Year by S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. After graduating from Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Stoddard completed both his internship and residency in orthopaedics at The Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville. He also is fellowship trained in intricate hand and microvascular surgeries.
With more than 35 years in sports medicine and orthopaedics, Dr. Stoddard has significant experience in diagnosing hip, knee, hand, and wrist osteoarthritis and in providing treatments that range from conservative measures to arthroplasty hip and knee replacement. His special interests include sports medicine; hand and upper extremity surgery; pediatric orthopaedics and rehabilitation; arthritis; and, joint replacement.
A former attending surgeon at the University of South Carolina Clinic of Professional Medicine, Dr. Stoddard is a member of professional groups including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association and South Carolina Medical Association.
