Dr. Majd Tarabichi is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon who specializes in adult reconstruction for hip and knee arthritis. He sees patients with all types of degenerative conditions of the hip and knee as well as patients with complications from prior joint replacement. Dr. Tarabichi takes a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of hip and knee pain, incorporating the latest advancements in perioperative pain management, surgical reconstruction and recovery, including the direct anterior approach to total hip replacement, partial knee replacement, and revision surgery.
Following completion of his medical school training, he spent two years as a research fellow at The Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University, where he performed award-winning research with some of the thought leaders in the field of hip and knee replacement. Dr. Tarabichi has won multiple awards for his research including the John Insall and Otto Aufranc awards, two of the highest honors in the field of adult reconstruction. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the Univerity of Illinois at Chicago followed by a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the prestigious University of California-San Francisco.
