Cervical Discectomy Replacement (additional level)

Matthew K. Wingate, MD specializes in orthopedic spine surgery. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency (five years) and then went on to complete an additional full year of only spine surgery. He is experienced in pediatric and adult spine surgery. Dr. Wingate specializes in neck and back pain, degenerative disc disease, neck and back arthritis, disc herniations of the neck and back, spinal slip (instability), neck and back fractures, pediatric and adult scoliosis. He received extensive training in the use of the cervical (neck) disc replacement.

Dr Wingate is our only surgeon to practice solely on the spine. This allows him and his team to continually focus on and master the art of treating complex spinal issues. Dr Wingate strives to continuously evaluate and review new technology and techniques to allow him to provide the most cutting edge care to his patients.

When Dr Wingate is not in clinic or the OR he and his wife are chasing their 3 kids around town and the region playing soccer, cheer, t-ball among other activities. He and his family love the outdoors and enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and hiking and spending time with their dog, Sunny. Dr Wingate also tries to sneak out for a round of golf whenever possible!
