Menyoli Michael Malafa, MD, stands as an exceptional specialist in the realm of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
His journey towards excellence began with an undergraduate degree in biology at Stanford University in California, laying the foundation for his commitment to precision, innovation, and compassionate care in the field of plastic and reconstructive medicine. He graduated medical school with honors from the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine in 2011. From there, he moved on to the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, where he completed his hand surgery residency. Finding hand surgery particularly interesting, Dr. Malafa moved to California to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Having more than nine years of diverse experience, especially in plastic and reconstructive surgery and hand surgery, Dr. Malafa performs all surgical hand procedures, including fracture repair, joint replacement, nerve, and tendon repair. He has vast experience in successful non-operative and rehabilitative treatment techniques aimed at avoiding surgery. He treats all patients, both young and old, with varied backgrounds, including the injured worker, non-athlete, and athlete, and takes pride in treating each patient as an individual and tailoring care to their specific needs and complaints.
