How we experience of the world depends on our senses functioning properly. Conditions that affect the ear, nose, and throat range from minor or severe. They all affect vital senses and our ability to enjoy life to its fullest.
The otolaryngology practice at Augusta Health—also known as Ear, Nose, and Throat, or ENT—is equipped to identify and treat an impressive range of diseases and disorders, improving the quality of patients' lives. The most common conditions seen in otolaryngology include sinusitis, hearing loss, tinnitus, balance disorders, polyps, nasal and ear obstructions, voice and swallowing disorders, and both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors.
Ear, nose, and throat physicians Dr. Michael Plautz and Dr. William D. Davidson specialize in endoscopic sinus surgery with computerized navigation, a procedure used to treat chronic sinusitis. The convenient location of our otolaryngology clinic on the Augusta Health campus allows for sinus surgery and an array of other tests and treatments to be performed on site.
What people have to say about this practice
"Our 6 year old son has seen Dr. Plautz since 2006. He has had tubes put in twice as well as his adnoids out. Dr. Plautz and hs staff are wonderful! We had an isurance issue that only gave us until the end of the month to put in a second set of tubes or it wouldn't be covered(this appointment was the last Friday of the month at that). We explained this to Dr. Plautz and he worked our son in on the following Monday, even though he was already booked solid!! I would highly recommend Augusta ENT. My son really enjoys going and Dr. Plautz has a wonderful bedside manner, especially with children!!"
"Oral surgeon biopsy showed cancer and I was referred to Dr Plautz. I had previously had cancer and Dr Plautz said he knew my concern so he stayed after office hours to work me in. He gave me a thorough explanation of my options. I appreciated his pre and post operation professionalism."
