A native of Texas, Dr. Mohammed Farooqui was born in McAllen where he attended the South Texas High School for Health Professions. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. His professional podiatric degree was earned at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, Illinois. Next, he completed his surgical residency training at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. Dr. Farooqui was trained by the leading podiatric physicians in the Dallas area and served as the Chief Resident of the program during his final year. His professional interests include forefoot surgery, reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, trauma, wound care, and limb salvage.
