This includes an abdominal paracentesis. A paracentesis is a procedure to take out fluid that has collected in the belly (peritoneal fluid).

- Pathology feespecimen(s) examination and tests for diagnosis. This test does not include the pathologic workup of malignancy. If malignancy is discovered during your procedure, additional charges will be incurred.
