About Robert Patterson, MD

Robert Patterson, MD is a general surgeon at Intermountain Health’s American Fork Clinic – Surgical Associates in American Fork, Utah. He supports patients in American Fork, Lehi, Highland, Pleasant Grove, Alpine, and surrounding communities, focusing his practice on laparoscopic abdominal surgery including the gallbladder, appendix, hernia (inguinal, umbilical, ventral, incisional), hemorrhoid treatment, excision of skin and subcutaneous tissue, vasectomy, and port-a-cath insertion and removal.

Dr. Patterson is a board-certified general surgeon. He received his medical degree from the University of Calgary with a residency at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has a master’s degree in medical informatics from the University of Utah and is board-certified with the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
