- Anesthesia feelocal anesthesia or moderate sedation services provided by your surgeon. If your situation requires an anesthesiologist be present to supervise the anesthesia or sedation services, you will receive a bill from the anesthesiologist.

Dr. Stephen D. Mendelson graduated from the University of Michigan before pursuing his Medical Degree from Wayne State University. After graduating, Dr. Steve completed his residency at Wayne State University and a research fellowship at the Hadassah Hospital in Israel. Dr. Steve has a wide array of orthopedic expertise and practices general orthopedics in both our Warren and Livonia Locations. Dr. Mendelson offers an alternative to the traditional hip replacement, called an Anterior Hip Replacement. He has a special interest in working with shoulders and emerging technologies for the treatment of orthopedic injuries. Dr. Steve serves as the Medical Director of the St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Hip and Knee Unit. He and his wife Alice have 3 children and live in the city of Huntington Woods.
Dr. Mendelson has been voted by southeast Michigan’s medical professionals as Hour Detroit magazine’s Top Docs in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Everything went very nice. The xray tech, and MA were very pleasant. Dr S. Mendelson was very cordial. My only concern was I had to wait in the medical room for a long time. Otherwise great!
