About Thomas J Chambers, MD
Dr. Thomas Chambers is an Iowa native and attended The University of Iowa College of Engineering in Iowa City, Iowa, for his undergraduate studies, where he went on to attend the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine to earn his medical doctorate.
Dr. Chambers completed a general surgery internship at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, and later underwent an orthopedic surgery residency at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. Dr. Chambers chose to continue his training with a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Miami Health System in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Chambers serves as an orthopedic sports medicine provider for Coastal Carolina University, and he is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is available to see patients in need of knee, shoulder, sports medicine, and joint replacement and revision care in Myrtle Beach at our Carolina Forest office.
