Physical Therapy Evaluation

Medical Rehabilitation at TMC Lakewood offers patients a personalized treatment program focused on regaining the highest level of function, and independence following injury or disabling illness. Patients have access to both an acute inpatient setting or intensive outpatient services depending on the severity of patient needs.

Acute Inpatient Services
Medical Rehabilitation patients at TMC Lakewood may receive care in a dedicated unit which provides patients access to a team of rehabilitation specialists- physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. Therapists work with the patient and family members to develop individualized treatment programs, unique to the needs and of each patient and supportive of the patient achieving an optimal level of functioning. Family members participate in therapy and training to make the transition to home a successful event. While at Lakewood, patients have access to board certified physicians 7/24.

Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Services
TMC Rehabilitation Services focuses on maximizing independence and facilitating healthy living. Our rehab team works with people of all ages who have various conditions and/or disabilities, such as amputations, arthritis, cerebral palsy, brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, total joint replacement, urinary incontinence, and work-related injuries.
