Procedure Details
This is a PET scan of the brain, chest, or the whole body with or without use of concurrent CT scan. Please note that during the PET scan an FDG tracer will be used. This is not a Axumin PET scan, which is a different kind of PET scan.

About Upson Regional Medical Center
Nuclear medicine procedures are obtained with special cameras that deliver true 3D information. This information is typically presented as cross-sectional slices through the patient, but can be freely reformatted or manipulated as required. Myocardial perfusion stress tests are performed in Nuclear Medicine and the nuclear medicine images are obtained in 3D.
