Visit WebsiteDr. William Falls joins the Carolina ENT team following a 25-year career in the U.S. Navy. He is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and an active member of the medical staff at Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Valley Medical Center and Viewmont Surgery Center. He is also an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
A native of Morehead City, North Carolina, Dr. Falls attended college at UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After joining the Navy via the ROTC program, he completed flight school and served the next eight years as a patrol pilot, flight instructor and reconnaissance watch officer. Dr. Falls subsequently changed career paths, graduating medical school from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completing his ENT internship and residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. He served as Medical Officer aboard the amphibious assault ship U.S.S. Nassau and as Chief of Otolaryngology at both Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan and Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Dr. Falls’ clinical interests include comprehensive otolaryngology for adult and pediatric patients, including surgical management of thyroid and parotid disease, ear surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery.
