Procedure Details
This includes a hernia repair for the following types epigastric, incisional, ventral, umbilical, spigelian, inguinal or femoral. A hernia is when an organ or tissue pushes through an abnormal opening. This includes the insertion of mesh. - Facility feeoperating and recovery room services & supplies for outpatient stay (less than 24 hours) at Remedy Surgery Center
- Physician feetreatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery for all hernia repair types except abdominal hernias. Abdominal hernia repairs do not have a covered postoperative period. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.
- Anesthesiologist feeregional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
- Pathology feeDOES NOT INCLUDE A PATHOLOGY FEE. The patient may receive a bill for this portion.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Carlton completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh provided him with a strong foundation in general surgery, which he later augmented with advanced training in bariatric, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical techniques. He further honed his expertise during an advanced fellowship under Dr. Erik Wilson, a world-renowned leader in robotic surgery, at the Bariatric Medical Institute of Texas in San Antonio and Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston. Dr. Carlton’s dedication to innovation and precision has led him to mentor other surgeons, proctoring them in the latest surgical advancements.
