David S. Lippie, MD, FACS, a former member of Indiana Surgical Specialists joined Lutheran Medical Group in July 2013. He joined ISS in 2001.
Dr. Lippie earned bachelor's degree in chemistry/zoology in 1982 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and he studied in the Department of Pharmacology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis for three years before earning a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1989. He completed a surgical internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich., and a fellowship in surgical critical care in 1992 and a residency in general surgery in 1995 at Butterworth Hospital/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Lippie is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Hernia Society, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
