Mary Ann Meo, DO, FACS, is a general surgeon who serves patients requiring surgical treatment for a variety of conditions affecting the body. As a general surgeon, she diagnoses and provides care for conditions affecting the breast, extremities, head and neck, skin and soft tissue, as well as the endocrine and gastrointestinal systems.
In 2020, Dr. Meo earned accreditation as the nation’s first Master Surgeon in Breast Treatment by Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). This accreditation highlights that Dr. Meo has met nationally recognized standards and provides an advance level of care to patients requiring surgical treatment for a variety of breast health conditions.
Board-certified in general surgery, Dr. Meo graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, in 1986. She completed a residency in pediatric surgery at The Children's Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston and a surgical residency at New York Medical College at the Cabrini Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Meo, who has a special interest in breast cancer surgery, joined Lutheran Health Physicians after working for several years as a general surgeon for Three Rivers Surgical Associates in Fort Wayne and Hudson Valley Medical Group in New York. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons and Fort Wayne Medical Society.
